  13. Does anyone know of a reliable 28.8 voice/fax/data modem for the Mac?
  14. I've already tried BestData without much success (a power cord that won't
  15. stay in place, inaccessible tech support, displaced speaker port,
  16. software that falls apart when another app is running on a Mac),
  17. and I'm now struggling with problems using the Prometheus CyberPhone
  18. (temperamental software -- it may be a 2nd gen. PowerMac thing).

  20. I hear that the GeoPort Telecom Adapter with Pleiades' Home Office software
  21. is reliable, but then you're locked in at 14.4 with no compression.

  23. I do freelance and consulting work, so I really need features like fax
  24. forwarding, paging, and fax on demand to work reliably and consistently.

  26. Please e-mail me directly if know of a solution.  I might be our shopping
  27. for wigs to conceal the fact that I've pulled out all my hair over this.
